EQInfo is an app whose main function is to provide users with relevant information about earthquakes occurring around the world. Through the app, not only can you find out an earthquake's intensity and location in real-time, but there is also information on what to do in case you experience one, and you can even choose to receive alerts for earthquakes near your location.
The main tab in EQInfo displays a visual list of the last earthquakes that have taken place around the world, whose intensity, location, time and proximity to your own location can be seen. Clicking on the gear button allows you to customize the list by adding a range of filters. You can choose to see only the earthquakes of a certain region or only those that are closest to your location. You can also filter out earthquakes under a certain intensity.
In the app's second tab, you can find practically the same information as in the first but simply displayed on a world map. Simply swipe the screen to move around the map and pinch to zoom in and out. This lets you quickly find and take a look at any earthquake that has taken place in any location of interest. Click on an earthquake marker to view all its information.
However, EQInfo's third tab is undoubtedly one of the app's most interesting and useful, as it lets you say if you've felt an earthquake. This information will be sent to gempa GmbH, the creators behind the app, who will include it in their database to help provide more accurate information on seismic activity in your area. When submitting this information, you can add the exact time you felt the earthquake.
EQInfo is a very comprehensive earthquake app, thanks to which you can take a look at all the planet's seismic activity in real-time. You can also contribute to this pool of information with your own experiences, contributing your own knowledge to the important task of seismic risk prevention.
